Welcome

Thank you for stopping by to perv on my blog, as I fight myself to change my old habits and make new ones to get fit. I don't get it right all the time, but I'm still here and I'm still working at it.

Tamzins Double Dog Dare You Ticker!

My homage to the 14lbs that I lost on Allan’s DDDY Challenges. A watering can for the vast oceans of water that I have learned to drink and love every day.

Monday Recovery!

Well the start of a new week, the last of a few days until I'm off for holidays. HURRAY!

I've already had 2L of water and its only 10:45am. I'm feeling good and ready to tackle this week by the horns.

Monday - Tuesday and Wednesday at the office, then I'm free until next Tuesday. I can't wait to get out and get walking in the lovely Texas winter. This is the best time of year here for me. I love it. Reminds me of the fall back home.

I've committed myself to a couple of things, one of which is a training camp for highland games events. Its going to cost me a chunk of change to go, and I am going to set myself up to begin going to the gym in the morning before work again.

No point in spending that money if I'm not going to make an effort.

Okay... that is all the good news. Here is today's bad news.

1. Weigh in this morning. 289.5lbs. Ug... salty bloated Tamzin. Up 2.3lbs.

2. I ate an oreo cookie already.

This work environment is not good. I need to stop looking at the food that is on my desk... yes, someone put oreo cookies on a plate on my desktop. Yeah. They are getting moved asap.

So, no real surprises there at all. But a good kick in the pants for a fresh start on the week.

Back to work here. Time to get into high gear and get my stuff done so I can enjoy my time off.

Now...2.5L water are down the hatch!

Time to recommit. The holidays are hard but we can get through them if we keep ourselves away from the temptations. No more junk food in my house and we will be staying home for Christmas.

I would put up a sign : Don't Feed The Tamzin!

You don't need that crap. Let them know it ain't okay to plop food on your desk because you are trying to lose weight. They should respect your efforts.

As for the oreos, I am about to go off Allan style:

You missy, need to put the f*n oreos down. You should not pick them up in the first place. It is the choice of the matter girl. Do you want to be thin? Are you going to stop screwing around and do this thing? Knock that shit off. NOW!!! I don't want to hear that you are stuffing crap in your mouth that you shouldn't even be thinking about. There is no coddling in the Challenge. Suck it up and do what needs to be done.

Just do it.

I would definitely speak to the coworker that put that on your desk.. that's so disrespectful! One of my coworkers sent me an email today about how to properly eat through the holidays.. it was a huge joke with rules on how to stuff your face basically. She asked if I thought it was funny.. I told her it was disgusting. That shut her up quick. You just have to draw your boundaries for others- even at work.

tis true! Today I have a no food around me policy! I've already given the stink eye to one person.

Kimberly. You are totally correct. Food is here and everywhere, I have to make the choice to not stick it in my mouth.

Happily...down half a pound this morning.

The holidays are a tough time of year for us all. My normally staunch resolve is also showing cracks.

Heck, when I read you ate an Oreo, my first thought was:

Well, is IS an Oreo, after all.

(Like that makes it okay, because, well, its an OREO.) hehehehe

I love Oreos, just like most of the country. Can you tell?

Glad you are back on track and staying strong!!
