Welcome

Thank you for stopping by to perv on my blog, as I fight myself to change my old habits and make new ones to get fit. I don't get it right all the time, but I'm still here and I'm still working at it.

Ouch

Well... with the amount of swelling in my hands and feet this morning from yesterdays day long party that we attended... and the amount of food and cake and salty meats and cheese that I had... and that I was over by 500+ calories on the day..... this should be no surprise:

Weight: 297

I will tell you this. I was a very unhappy wife last night on the way home, and I was extremely pissed that we ended up staying at this party from 1pm to 10.30pm with not ONE SINGLE EFFING VEGETABLE to be seen. Pot luck of course. These friends are not the healthy living type. The closest thing that I got to a vegetable all day was guacamole.

I'm pissed. Very very pissed. Pissed that we ended up there for so long, pissed that I grazed all day with little thought to anything that I was eating, and pissed that we were told to being a meat and cheese plate instead of vegetables. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Well... surprise surprise surprise....I gained. This week is going to be MUCH better.

That'd make me mad too, don't feel like you're the only one. And how do people not bring vegetables to a potluck? Shouldn't there have been SOME vegetable food there????

Since you were at the party for so long I am hoping you at least had fun at the party? I hope so.

Ugh...sorry for the disappointment. Best of luck to a better week :)

oh by I would have left the party many hours ago. Next time maybe pack yourself something in your purse that you can sorta sneak in so your not left out.

I'd have been pretty PO'd myself. I should have warned you that here in Texas the emphasis is usually on consuming mass quantities of fried everything and meat. I don't understand it, but even the restaurants focus on huge slabs of fatty crap.

At least now you know (if you ever accept another invite from them) to bring a side of veggies.

A day of eating healthy and you'll be good as new.

That really sucks! It's hard enough to eat right without being faced with that! Next time (if there is one...bring a meat & potato dish for them...and a veggie dish for you! A bump in the road...back on track today right!!

i know its hard to have set backs like that, but don't let it get you down. for me, anyway, its not the one day that does the damage. its my psyche for the next 3 days afterward. you can do this :-)

Wow, someone invited you to a party then told you what to bring? I think I would have been a little put off. That doesn't seem like a real genuine invitation. I echo the sentiments of those who say, maybe bring some with you next time.

Keep trying!

This happened to me a few times and now I bring my own food and I don't care if someone gets offended. My fat offends me. Dying of a stroke if I don't get a handle on this offends me.
